How to Win the Losers Game (An Introduction to Investing)…

I thought I might mix things up a bit for you so, this month, I’m sending you a little video which talks about the investment world.  Don’t worry, the video’s only 6 minutes long! 

Investing is a bit alien to most people.  You’re likely to have pensions and investments but how much do you know about what’s happening inside them?

The video, created by Robin Powell, who’s a highly regarded financial journalist, discusses the ‘problems’ with most fund managers who may be looking after your money.  It’s food for thought to say the least.

My beliefs when it comes to investing are simple:

• Ensure the risk you’re taking is in line with what you want / need your money to do for you.

• Spread things far and wide (not too many eggs in too few buckets).

• Keep costs as low as possible.

• Leave it alone and don’t try to beat the market.

There are other aspects as well but these are the highlights!  The video gives you an introduction to how the world of investing works but Robin has a great ability to keep things simple.
